The Association of Labour Providers is the trade association for the industry. It was established early in 2004 by twenty labour providers and has rapidly become established as an affective trade association with a growing membership.
   
VOSA - Vehicle & Operator Services Agency

Kent Staff Services 2000 Ltd operate under VOSA (vehicle & operator services agency) since March 2002. VOSA provides a range of licensing , testing and enforcement services with the aim of improving the roadworthiness standards of vehicles ensuring the compliance of operators and driver with road traffic legislation and supporting the independent traffic commissioners.
   
CPT - Confederation of Passenger Transport UK

The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT) is recognised by Government as the voice of the coach, bus and light rail industries and is the focus for consultation and negotiation on national and international legislation, local regulations, operational practices and engineering standards.
   
The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) was set up to curb the exploitation of workers in the agriculture, horticulture, shellfish gathering and associated processing and packaging industries.

If you are supplied with labour and your business operates in the sectors outlined in this section, from 1 December 2006 you will be required to only use GLA licensed Gangmasters.

It is now illegal to supply workers to the agriculture and food processing and packaging sectors without a GLA licence.
